At Neftis Laboratorios, we are committed to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations, which aim to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity. Our commitment involves different activities that we can classify under each of the SDGs.
NO POVERTY AND REDUCED INEQUALITIES
Charity line. Neftis Laboratorios has a charity cosmetics line that includes the production of a shower gel which we offer to non-profit organisations.
Toy and book donations. Every year around Christmas time, we set up drop-off points at our facilities for toys and books, which we send to charitable organisations.
ZERO HUNGER
Food donations. We have an agreement with a charity in Barcelona, where we send food donations.
GOOD HEALTH AND WELL-BEING
Health area. At Neftis Laboratorios, we have created a 500 m2 space dedicated to our staff’s health and well-being. We organise a variety of team activities related to healthcare, such as hypopressive exercise, yoga, Zumba, physiotherapy, meditation, coaching workshops and even live music and theatre.
Training. We train the team in first aid.
QUALITY EDUCATION
Educational workshops and talks. One of the activities held in the Health Area are the educational workshops and talks given in collaboration with training centres on various topics of general interest.
GENDER EQUALITY
Equality Plan. In the Neftis Laboratorios Equality Plan we have included a set of measures taken by the company to achieve equal treatment and opportunities for women and men.
Work-life balance. Neftis Laboratorios offers compatible shifts, changes to calendar and reduced working hours to help people balance their work schedules with family life.
CLEAN WATER AND SANITATION
Reusable water bottles. Neftis Laboratorios has eliminated 100% of plastic cups and water bottles by installing several purified water fountains. Each employee also has their own reusable water bottle.
AFFORDABLE AND CLEAN ENERGY
Energy self-supply project. At Neftis Laboratorios, we produce and consume our own 100% renewable energy thanks to the 886 photovoltaic bold text
Personal development plans. At Neftis Laboratorios, we strongly believe that our people are the heart and soul of our company and we aim to take care of them as they deserve. We focus our decisions on creating a happy and healthy environment for everyone, while facilitating the team’s personal and professional development with personalised career plans and internal promotions.
INDUSTRY, INNOVATION AND INFRASTRUCTURE
New offices. Over the course of 2022, we will expand our facilities with 600 m2 of new corporate offices and a further 600 m2 for primary and secondary packaging. This expansion and renovation of our spaces will enable us to be more efficient in all areas.
SUSTAINABLE CITIES AND COMMUNITIES
Reducing our environmental footprint. At Neftis Laboratorios, we have changed our packaging process for a more sustainable one. This change includes using paper packaging tape, biodegradable air cushions and environmentally friendly protection chips.
RESPONSIBLE CONSUMPTION AND PRODUCTION
Efficient production processes. We are incorporating new technology into our production processes, allowing us to be more efficient and sustainable.
CLIMATE ACTION AND LIFE BELOW WATER
Reduction of waste generated. As well as ensuring the quality of the discharged water, we are committed to reducing the use of plastics and encouraging responsible water consumption.
LIFE ON LAND
More sustainable production processes. At Neftis Laboratorios, we encourage the use of FSC-certified packaging. Further to this, the company’s sustainable packaging process uses paper packaging tape, biodegradable air cushions and environmentally friendly chips for filling and protection. We are also significantly increasing the recycled content of our products and their recyclability.
