Neftis Laboratorios was selected from among 34 proposals as one of the three best Companies in the Vallès Oriental Region in 2021. This award is granted by the Vallès Oriental SME Employers Association at its 16th edition. The jury expressed its recognition of the internationalisation of the project and the different innovation processes implemented by the company in recent years.
Last Friday 20 May, the “Vallesà de l’Any” (Vallés Region Company of the Year) award ceremony took place at the Teatre Auditori Polivalent in Bigues i Riells in the Vallès Oriental District. At the event, the SME Association of Catalonia** (PIMEC) of Vallés Oriental** also awarded three Vallès District Company of the Year prizes and Neftis Laboratorios was one of the three finalist projects.
The presentations of the selected companies were presented to the 300 persons attending in the form of a video report. The representatives of each company then went onto the stage to collect the award which was handed to them by members of the Vallès Oriental Executive Committee.
Marc Xalabarder, CEO and CTO of Neftis Laboratorios, said that it was a real honour to be one of the three finalist companies receiving the “Best Company in the Vallès District” considering the large number of companies there were in the Vallès Oriental District, and a veritable recognition of the commitment of the whole team to the Neftis Laboratorios project.
The three finalist companies receiving the most votes from the jury from the 34 projects submitted were as follows, in alphabetical order:
- KH Lloreda
- Neftis Laboratorios
- Thermowaste, S.L.
Neftis Laboratorios has been manufacturing cosmetics and healthcare products for third parties since 2005. It provides a 360º solution, from the design, development, formulation, filling and packaging, to the manufacture of the finished product ready for distribution.
Among other aspects, the jury took into consideration the International projection of the Neftis Laboratorios project, which is currently present in more than 80 countries. The company manufactures cosmetics and medical devices for countries as diverse as Germany, Brazil, Iran or Mongolia. The geographical areas with the greatest commercial presence are Europe, Russia, China and the Middle Eastern Countries.
PIMEC attached great value to the commitment of Neftis Laboratorios to extending its facilities, which has led to a gain of 600 m2 in primary and secondary packaging facilities and of 600 m2 in corporate offices with meeting rooms and a showroom, making a total surface area of 6,300 m2 dedicated to the global development of cosmetics and healthcare products. This extension and renovation of spaces will lead to an increase in the efficiency of the equipment in all senses, and the consolidation of growth. At present, in relation to new product development, work is being done on innovative healthcare product formats such as preloaded syringes, which will be marketed in the near future.
Lastly, the Chairman of PIMEC Vallès Oriental, Daniel Boil, handed over the award to the winning company after delivering a speech in which he mentioned the large number of participants this year. He also said that entities such as the finalists, with their highly innovative spirit, competitiveness, commitment to people and to the environment, constant search for talent and full dedication to their territory, represented the future of the region.
On this occasion, the winning project was submitted by Thermowaste, S.L., a company from Granollers well known for its research, which had developed a solution for recovering 100% of all household waste generated.
